Cookie policy

Last updated: 13 October 2026

This cookie policy explains which cookies and similar technologies www.tactical-it.be uses, what they do, and how you can control them. It supplements our privacy policy. The website is operated by Tactical-IT BV, Bredabaan 71 bus 301, 2170 Antwerpen (Merksem), Belgium, BE 0803.422.690, support@tactical-it.be.

1. What are cookies?

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your computer, tablet or phone when you visit it. Cookies let a website remember things between pages and between visits, such as the language you chose. Similar technologies, such as local storage in your browser, work in a comparable way. In this policy we call all of them “cookies”.

Cookies placed by our own website are “first-party cookies”. Cookies placed by another organisation through our website, for example when a map from Google is shown, are “third-party cookies”.

2. The rules we follow

Under Article 129 of the Belgian Act of 13 June 2005 on electronic communications and the GDPR, we may only place cookies that are strictly necessary for the website to work without asking you. For all other cookies we first ask your consent through the cookie banner, and you can refuse them as easily as you can accept them. Refusing does not limit your use of the website, except that content from third parties (such as the map on the contact page) will not be loaded.

3. Which cookies we use

3.1 Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are needed to make the website work and to remember your choices. They do not require your consent.

3.3 Third-party and marketing cookies

These cookies are only placed if you accept them in the cookie banner.

Service Provider Purpose Cookies and retention
Google Maps Google Ireland Ltd, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland Shows an interactive map of our office on the contact page. When the map loads, Google receives your IP address and may place cookies to measure usage and to protect its services against abuse. NID (6 months), CONSENT (up to 2 years), and other cookies and local storage described in Google’s cookie policy.

Until you accept, the map is replaced by a placeholder and nothing is sent to Google. The fonts used on this website are served from our own server, not from Google, so no data is sent to Google for that purpose.

We do not use advertising cookies, social media tracking pixels or any other marketing cookies. The links to our Facebook, LinkedIn and TeamViewer pages are plain links: nothing is sent to those companies unless you click them.

4. How to manage your cookie choices

  • Cookie banner. When you first visit our website, the banner lets you accept or refuse the cookies that need consent.
  • Change your mind. Click “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page to reopen the banner and change or withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of what happened before.
  • Browser settings. You can also delete cookies or block them entirely in your browser. If you block the strictly necessary cookies, some parts of the website, such as the language choice, may not work correctly. Instructions: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge.

5. Changes to this policy

If we add new services to the website that use cookies, we will update this policy and ask for your consent again where required. The date at the top shows the latest version.
